Dia de los Muertos Burlesque Ball Finger in the Pie invite you to their decadent Day of the Dead! The Dia de Los Muertos Burlesque Ball. Following the huge success of this summer's Heaven and Hell Ball we've brought together the very best of Finger in the Pie Cabaret including Agent Lynch and Mr Cutlass, Beau Peek, Madame Lady Cheek, celebrated clown Frank Wurz, as well as music from resident DJs - Gringo da Parada and Jimmy Jeans, floor show from the Storm in a D-Cup team, and music from The New Town Centres... All in the fantastic Favela Chic on Old Street! Beau Peek In Diablo Beau Peek delves into the Underworld, adorned with a ceremonial Goat skull headdress. Beau Peek invokes the spirits and casts a circle, and weaves her call to the souls in the afterlife through her performance of elemental illusions. Diablo is a stunningly explosive ritual dance, inspired by traditional dances from Mexico and around the world, and bridges the gap between this world and the next to bring the spirits close on Dia de Los Muertos. Storm in a D-Cup The Storm in a D-Cup team present an interactive world of show girl glamour, twisted humour and darn right dirty storytelling. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37057008082 Agent Lynch and Mr Cutlass Agent Lynch and Mr Cutlass team up in Skeleton love story. 'Mr Lovecat' tries to woo his object d'amour with flowers and chocolates only to be rebuffed! What can he do to win her heart? Brace yourself for a gruesome romance! Frank's Uke One of London's most celebrated clowns and a rising star on the Ukelele Horizon, Frank will entertain you with his romantic love songs and be accompanied by his musical and charming Uke... Madame Lady Cheek Somewhere over the rainbow, lives a dirty old man who dabbles in the dark arts, with a wink, nudge and a puff on the good stuff he can make all your dreams come true, you ain’t never going home Dorothy!!! The New Town Centres Their peculiar brand of spiky, danceable popmusic recalls Henry Mancini, Talking Heads and The Kinks and is vigorously played on dirty guitars and battered old synths by 6 shopwindow dummies with identical hair. Live performances may include dancing."... this band have more invention than a Favela hooker having to deal with a particularly flaccid Brit tourist ... Waggish word sorcery equal to The Television Personalities ... The Strokes with more words; Scissor Sisters but more pervy and Jarvis Cocker with additional Mod clatter ... mop-top genius ..." (gigwise.com) "Bloc Party must be sh*tting themselves." (XFM) http://www.myspace.com/newtowncentres |
