Finger in the Pie Theatre Company are currently working on a devised version of the Sweeney Todd story. Having spent the last six months researching and developing Todd we're now going to be showcasing the material we've been working on over the next couple of weeks.
Working with an International team of puppeteers and performers we've created a narrative based around half mask, physical storytelling, puppetry and live music. This includes shadow puppets used in an atmospheric German expressionist style similar to that used in the Metz 'judder man' advert a few years ago. The live music includes narration, a harmonium (a kind of floor accordion), song and rhythm.
We’re now looking for a co-producer to help us move the project into full production. You can download a PDF of the program for the scratch HERE.
