Finger in the Pie Cabaret Returns!

Finger in the Pie is pleased to announce 3 new cabaret nights at various London venues, all launching in the next 4 weeks: Cabaret of the Century at the Century Club in Soho, the Finger in the Pie Cabaret Showcase at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern in Vauxhall, and Cabaphonic at Earl Haig Hall in Crouch End.

“outstanding cabaret” – Time Out Critic’s Choice

Finger in the Pie cabaret launched in 2007 under the leadership of artistic director Alexander Parsonage, and was a resident cabaret company at Madame Jojos until the venue’s controversial closing in late 2014. In that time, Finger in the Pie showcased over 600 individual performances from a total of over 780 different performers, and oversaw the UK cabaret debuts of Bourgeois and Maurice (winners in the 2012 London Cabaret Awards), Doctor Brown (winner of the Fosters Comedy Award 2012), Banbury Cross (Vegas Burlesque Hall of Fame) and Myra Dubois (Winner London Cabaret Awards 2013).

“the best new Burlesque acts around” – The Stage

Finger in the Pie are proud to work with cabaret stalwarts the Royal Vauxhall Tavern to bring back their cabaret showcase of new drag, burlesque and variety, as well as creating new ongoing nights at two new cabaret venues, at a time when cabaret venues are under threat and performers are in need of new places to be seen: Cabaret of the Century will be held at the esteemed Century member’s club on Shaftsbury Avenue, with each show dedicated to a year in the 20th Century; while Cabaphonic, at Crouch End’s Earl Haig Hall, will offer a night of sultry songsmiths, comedy crooners and vaudevillian vocalists.
